New York Strip with Morel Mushroom Sauce
Pair the New York strip with a sauce made from onions, garlic, morel mushrooms, thyme and white wine. Complement the dish with a side of grilled asparagus, baby onions and a shoestring fries.

Ingredients
Prepare the Steak
  • 5each New York Strip Steaks
  • vegetable oilas needed
  • Kosher salt and black pepperto taste
Prepare the Sauce
  • extra-virgin olive oilas needed
  • 0.5each Yellow Oniondiced small
  • 1cup Morel mushroomsfinely chopped
  • 1each Garlic cloveminced
  • 0.5Tbsp fresh thymeminced
  • 0.5cups white winedry
  • 0.5each lemonjuice only
  • kosher salt
  • 1.5cups Knorr® Professional Sauce Hollandaise 6 x 34.32 ozprepared
Instructions
Prepare the Steak
  1. Rub steaks with oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Grill to desired doneness.
  3. Arrange steak on a plate with desired sides, slicing before plating, if desired.
  4. Spoon sauce (sub recipe below) over steak and serve.
  5. Consider complementing your dish with a side of grilled asparagus, baby onions and a shoestring fries.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. While the steak rests, add extra virgin olive oil to the pan.
  2. Add onions and mushrooms and cook until onions begin to caramelize.
  3. Add the garlic and thyme, cook a minute more.
  4. Deglaze the pan with white wine. Reduce by ¾.
  5. Add the prepared Knorr® Classic Hollandaise Sauce and season to taste with lemon juice and salt.
Finish the dish
  1. Arrange steak on a plate with desired sides, slicing before plating, if desired.
  2. Spoon sauce over steak and serve.
