Time-Out Croque-Monsieur
Ingredients
Prepare the Mornay Sauce
  • 25.2oz LeGoût® Soup Base CreamPack of 6 2 cups, prepared
  • 11.50oz Gruyere cheesegrated
  • 0.50oz Parmesangrated
  • White Pepperas needed
  • 0.25tsp nutmeg
  • 0.50oz butterunsalted
Prepare the Sandwich
  • 10oz Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise Gallon Real 1 gallonPack of 4
  • 20slices French Loaf
  • 0.50cup Dijon mustard
  • 2lbs Black Forest Ham
  • 1lb Gruyere cheesesliced
  • 2cups Mornay Sauceprepared
Instructions
Prepare the Mornay Sauce
  1. Combine the grated cheeses with the prepared LeGout® Cream Soup Base.
  2. Stir until the cheese has melted completely and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Season to taste with white pepper and nutmeg; stir in butter. Reserve.
Prepare the Sandwich
  1. Spread the outside of the bread with Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise.
  2. Spread the inside of the bread with Dijon mustard.
  3. Build the sandwich using Black Forest Ham and sliced Gruyere cheese.
  4. Griddle until cheese is melted and sandwich is warmed through.
  5. Spoon hot prepared Mornay Sauce over the sandwich and serve immediately.
