Whiskey Rebellion Burgers
Ingredients
  • 1.50cups Bourbon 1.50 cups
  • 4cups Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise
  • 1tbsp Black pepper
  • 1tbsp Mushroom-Bourbon Sauce
  • 1each Onion
  • 3cloves garlic
  • .5lb bacon
  • 1tbsp Butter 1 Tbsp
  • .25cups Bourbon 0.25 cups
  • 1.5cups Heavy cream 1.50 cups
  • 2tbsp Rosemary
  • 1lb salt and pepper
  • 1lb Mushrooms
  • Prepare Burgers
  • 10slice Smoked cheddar cheese
  • 10ea Potato hamburger bun
  • 3.75lbs Beef
  • 1qt Bourbon Mayonnaise
  • 15oz Mushroom-Bourbon Sauce
Instructions
  1. Bourbon Mayonnaise
  2. Simmer 1.5 cups bourbon until reduced by half.
  3. Combine Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise, reduced bourbon and pepper; whish to incorporate.
  4. Reserve refrigerated.
  5. Mushroom-Bourbon Sauce
  6. Render bacon, set aside.
  7. In excess bacon grease and butter, sauté onions and mushrooms until slightly softened.
  8. Add garlic and deglaze with bourbon.
  9. Add cream and rosemary and simmer until reduced and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  10. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Hold hot for service.
  11. Prepare Burgers
  12. Cook the burgersto desired doneness, top with cheese until melted.
  13. To assemble, spread 1 Tbsp Bourbon Mayo on each side of the bun, then top with Bourbon-Mushroom Sauce and top of bun.
