Saratoga Regional Sales Rep Job Description

Ginsberg’s Foods, a food distributor that has restaurant supplies located in Hudson, is looking for a collaborative, energetic foodservice sales rep to bring the fire and drive to produce quality results to our highly skilled Sales Team!

They do this by maintaining good organizational habits, acquiring new business partners within their assigned districts, expanding the penetration of our existing customers, and working to retain the accounts they manage by providing excellent customer service.

Foodservice Sales Rep Job Salary

• Pay for this position is salaried starting at $50k – $60k and based on years of sales and/or foodservice experience.
• Mileage, cellphone and home internet usage allowances are provided monthly.  

Work Schedule

• This position is Monday – Friday, flexible weekend hours are required.

Sales Rep Job Experience

As a Sales Representative at Ginsberg’s Foods, you’ll be surrounded by an incredible team and receive high-end training to make sure you’re equipped to succeed! A few things our Sales Representatives are responsible for are generating quotes and negotiating prices and credit terms, providing perks to our customers such as menu analysis, and creating customer order guides.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or foodservice in required.

Sales Rep Education

• High school or higher

Sales Rep Job Requirements 

• Takes and transmits customer orders (via phone, computer, in person)
• Develops and maintains knowledge of company products and products of competitors.
• Samples products and performs product cuttings.
• Collects payments on accounts.
• Participates in all sales events as they relate to company business.
• Works closely with other company departments to meet customer needs.
• Supports all sales promotions and initiatives.
• Review sales reports/pricing lists to manage and coordinate work activity.
• Prospecting new customers to grow our business through cold calling and frequent follow up. 
• Maintains a close relationship with Sales Management and other company managers with respect to sales trends and needs.
• Works closely with food brokers and food manufacturer’s.
