Driver Helper Job Description 

Ginsberg’s Foods is looking to hire Full-Time and Seasonal Driver Helpers in Hyde Park, NY! No experience required!

Our Driver Helpers ride with experienced CDL A and Non CDL Drivers to aid them in safely delivering products to our customers’ locations. We’re looking for team players who want to help lead the company towards success and have the desire to make a direct impact to the community and team with their work. Our fleet of drivers includes CDL A delivery drivers, non cdl delivery drivers, doubles drivers and short haul drivers. Our Driver Helpers are essential to help our drivers delivery product in a timely manner to our customers!

No experience is required!

One thing’s for sure, you don’t need a gym membership when you’re a Driver Helper! Reap the benefits of a paid workout by unloading products to our loyal customers using the equipment provided, all while forming long-lasting relationships with your team and management. While on the job, you will learn and become familiar with the back of a box truck and CDL A truck, the products we carry, different ways to safely deliver products using a hand cart and ramp, and get to know our customers in a professional manner, as well as our awesome team!

To perform this job, you must be able to comfortably lift and maneuver cases that range from 1lb – 80lbs. 

If while on the job you feel that getting behind the wheel and driving could be for you, we’ll enroll you in our Paid CDL A Training Program so you can receive training towards getting your CDL A license!

Driver Helper Job Salary

Pay for this position starts at $18/hr for full-time and $19/hr for seasonal.

Essential Driver Helper Job Requirements 

While on the job, you will learn and become familiar with the back of a box truck and CDL Class A truck, the products we carry, different ways to safely deliver products using a hand cart and ramp, and get to know our customers in a professional manner, as well as our awesome team!

    1. Physically unloads heavy product from the truck at customer locations using a hand truck and ramps.
    2. Navigates various surfaces, inclines, steps and stairs, while delivering product to the appropriate location (dry, cooler, frozen) at the customer’s place of business.
    3. Interacts in a professional manner with customers, attempting to resolve concerns as they arise.
    4. Adheres to all company safety programs and practices to ensure personal safety and the protection of company equipment.
    5. Complies with all Ginsberg’s Foods delivery policies and procedures in order ensure the accuracy of the delivered product and to avoid personal injury and/or damage to the product.
